I’ve been living in Tennessee almost two months now. Time has really flown by! The days are filled going to class, doing homework, yoga, rock climbing (on real stone!!), and making friends! My evenings are a mixture study dates at the Yellow Deli, going to church, and exercising. I am definitely enjoying this place.
I finally understand why my mom forced me to make my bed as a child. I finally understand the value of a dollar. I finally understand the importance of family. I finally understand what it means to surround yourself with like-minded friends.
Finally, I’m not looking at what is next, but am delighted by what is now.
I have already spent so much of my young life wishing I was older, wishing I was more capable, wishing I had to the means to do whatever was the next step. I never “stopped to smell the roses,” or fully anyways. But, now, I’m here! I’m in the garden, leisurely meandering through the rose petals! I’m really excited to have the opportunity to be in Tennessee this year and experience the bliss of each second here!
Until next time!
